The Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Jubilee Edition was introduced in 1987 to commemorate the production of the 250,000th Porsche 911. Built during the G-Series era, it represents one of the final chapters of the classic air-cooled 911 before the arrival of the more modern 964 generation.

The Jubilee Edition was more than simply a cosmetic exercise. It celebrated the success of a model that had firmly established itself as one of the world’s defining sports cars and become an icon of the Porsche brand.

Behind the rear axle sits a naturally aspirated 3.2-litre flat-six, producing 231 PS and approximately 284 Nm of torque. It is paired with the five-speed G50 manual gearbox, which offered a more precise and refined shift than the transmission used in earlier cars.

Power is sent to the rear wheels, and the traditional rear-engined layout gives the Carrera its distinctive driving character. The 0–100 km/h sprint takes approximately 5.6 seconds, while top speed exceeds 240 km/h.

The engine delivers its performance in a beautifully linear fashion, accompanied by the unmistakable mechanical soundtrack of an air-cooled Porsche flat-six.

The chassis uses the proven combination of torsion bars and independent suspension. Relatively low weight and unassisted steering give the driver a particularly direct connection to the road, with detailed feedback through the steering wheel.

The Jubilee Edition is most easily identified by its distinctive Diamond Blue Metallic paintwork. Colour-coordinated details and a more luxurious overall specification distinguish it from a standard Carrera 3.2, while the blue-themed interior reinforces the special-edition character.

Approximately 875 examples of the Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Jubilee Edition were produced, making it a relatively rare version of the G-Series 911.
